Our line. The Communard is a publication of the left. That commitment shapes what we think is worth covering. It does not license us to get facts wrong.
News versus opinion. Reported news carries no institutional position. Editorials and opinion pieces are always labeled, always signed, and are argued from evidence a skeptical reader could check.
Sourcing. We prefer named sources and primary documents. Where we grant anonymity, we say why.
Corrections. If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and note the correction on the piece. Email corrections@thecommunard.com.
Conflicts. Contributors disclose financial or organizational interests relevant to what they cover.
